Description

У світі книжки (In the World of Books) is an extensive collection of articles and reviews by one of the most eminent historians of Ukraine after World War II, Iaroslav Dashkevych. All of the texts in this over 500-page long hardcover edition are dedicated to the topics of the history of printing, book publishing, libraries, book scholarship, and overall book culture in Ukraine, and in particular in western Ukraine. This collection is composed of four thematic parts: 1. Book Printing; 2. Bibliography; 3. Library Science; and 4. Bibliological Journals.

Compiled by Natalia Paslavska, Halyna Svarnyk, and Andrii Feloniuk, this book was published thanks to the financial support of the Wolodymyr and Lydia Dylynsky Memorial Endowment Fund at the canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies.
