Supported by the Peter Jacyk Program for the Study of Modern Ukrainian History and Society at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, the scholarly journal Ukraina Moderna is one of the leading historical journals in Ukraine.
Its special issue no. 29 for 2020 is dedicated to the topic of the Ukrainian revolutionary period of 1914-23 and the new interpretations of this pivotal period in modern Ukrainian history. It contains a transcription of a discussion forum entitled The Ukrainian Revolution and Its Historiographies: Local, Transnational, and Global Perspectives. Dedicated to the memory of the eminent historian Mark Von Hagen, this issue includes a section In Memoriam: Mark Von Hagen. It also features six essays dedicated to the various interpretations of the Ukrainian Revolution and a digital archive section. This issue also contains one review essay and sixteen book reviews.
