Myron Kapral is director of the Lviv branch of the Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a professor of history at Lviv National University. He is the author of Natsional’ni hromady L’vova XVI–VIII st.: Sotsial’ni-pravovi vzaiemyny (2003) and Urzędnicy miasta Lwowa w XIII–XVIII wieku (2008); he has also published three volumes of documents relating to the history of Lviv in the fourteenth to eighteenth centuries.
