About The Book

This anthology of Ukrainian poetry was written by poets outside Ukraine during the last quarter-century. The anthology was inspired by a symposium on Ukrainian émigré poetry held at the University of Ottawa in 1985. Contributors include Vasyl Barka, Marta Kalytovska, Emma Andrijevska, Natalia Livytska-Kholoda, Marta Kalytovska, Vera Vovk, Yuri Tarnawsky, Bohdan Rubchak, Marco Carynnyk, Luba Gavur, Sofia Sachko, Oleh Koverko, Irene Makaryk, Ivan Kovach, Olena Duts, Petro Murianka, and many others. Published in cooperation with the Ukrainian Studies and Research Endowment Fund at the University of Ottawa in the Series in Contemporary Ukrainian Literature.

About The Authors

Bohdan Boychuk

Bohdan Boychuk is the author of six books of poetry in Ukrainian as well as two novels, eight plays, and many translations. He has edited the literary magazine Suchasnist' and co-edited (with Bohdan Rubchak) the major anthology of modern Ukrainian poetry, Coordinates.
