This dictionary contains approximately 65,000 English words with their Ukrainian equivalents. The pronunciation of the English words is shown by means of phonetical transcription. The stress is marked in all Ukrainian translations. The different meanings of English words are followed by corresponding translations and defined by notations in italics. Examples of usage are given for some words that are difficult to translate. The dictionary also contains idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and sayings (in both languages). It includes a list of current English and American abbreviations, a list of the most important geographical names, and a list of proper names.
