About This Issue
This special issue devoted to the eminent literary scholar Dmytro Chyzhevsky (1894-1977) was planned by Dr. Taras Zakydalsky as a tribute to mark the thirtieth anniversary of Chyzhevsky's passing. Sadly, Dr. Zakydalsky unexpectedly passed away in November 2007 before he was able to complete his work. This issue was coordinated in Kyiv by Iryna Valiavko, who worked with the contributors and passed on their articles for translation and editing. It opens with a remembrance of Taras Zakydalsky by Roman Senkus and contains six articles devoted to various aspects of Dmytro Chyzhevsky's scholarly legacy. The book-review section covers eleven recent publications.
