Yuri Klynovy was the long-time president of the Ukrainian Canadian Writers' Association, Slovo. He was the editor of numerous books. A collection of his essays and reviews was published in 1981 under the title Moim synam, moim pryiateliam (To My Sons and My Friends) . He also contributed to Mykola Ponedilok's Funny Tears short stories. (1982)
