Jars Balan
A graduate of the University of Alberta and the University of Toronto, Jars Balan is the editor of Yarmarok: Ukrainian Writing in Canada since the Second World War and author of the illustrated history Salt and Braided Bread: Ukrainian Life in Canada (1984). He was also a contributor to Film and the Ukrainians in Canada, 1921-1980. A Filmography Index of Film Titles and Bibliography by Shirley Zaporozhan and Robert B. Klymasz.
