Borys Antonenko-Davydovych (1899–1984) was an accomplished Ukrainian writer and journalist. He studied natural science at the University of Kharkiv and philology at the Kyiv Institute of People's Education. In addition to the linguistic theme of Iak My Hovorymo, Antonenko-Davydovych wrote and published collections of stories, short novels, was a member of the literary group Lanka, and published articles on literary topics and literary criticism in various journals.
