Frances Swyripa
Frances Swyripa is asssociate professor at the University of Alberta. Her interests include immigration, ethnicity, women, and Ukrainians in Canada. Swyripa is the author, coauthor, and coeditor of several publications including Sisters or Strangers: Immigrant, Ethnic, and Racialized Women in Canada History (Studies in Gender and History) (2004), Edmonton: The Life of a City (1996), Wedded to the Cause: Ukrainian-Canadian Women and Ethnic Identity, 1891-1991 (1993).
