David R. Marples
David R. Marples is Professor of History at the University of Alberta. He was educated at the Universities of London, Alberta, and Sheffield. He is the author of many articles in scholarly journals and a specialist on Ukraine and Belarus. His most recent titles include Belarus: A Denationalized Nation (Postcommunist States and Nations) (1999), Lenin's Revolution: Russia 1917–1921 (2000), and The Collapse of the Soviet Union, 1985-1991 (2004).
